| The purpose of this scholarship program is to encourage and support students to undertake and complete commendable GIS projects. The program is in memoriam of Angela Stokes, a previous winner of this scholarship who passed away February 1st, 2006.
Maine GIS User Group (MEGUG) hopes to make awards annually, providing financial assistance in the form of scholarships to undergraduate students, and grants to educators. Our goal is to award one $1000 scholarship and two $500 grants each year. Maine college and university undergraduates are eligible for the $1000 scholarship. Maine educators of grades 6 through 12 and Maine youth group leaders of the same grade groups can apply for the $500 grants.
