Description:

Curious about QGIS and whether it’s a viable option for municipal GIS work? As a free and open-source platform, QGIS raises important questions: Is it powerful enough for your town’s needs? Are there limitations or missing features that could be dealbreakers? Can it produce professional-quality outputs like tax maps comparable to those created with other GIS software?

This Lunch & Learn session will introduce QGIS and demonstrate its capabilities for municipal applications. It’s designed for participants with little or no GIS experience, as well as those familiar with ESRI products who are considering a switch or supplement to QGIS.
