Building on the previous MEGUG Virtual Lunch & Learn, "Using QGIS for Municipal Applications," Michael White returns to explore more advanced techniques for efficiently editing GIS layers in QGIS. This session will cover how to configure and make the most of QGIS’s editing tools.
Participants will learn about fundamental tasks such as creating features, modifying shapes and positions, and setting attributes. The session will then progress to more advanced topics, including georeferencing raster images and an introduction to QGIS’s advanced editing capabilities.
While the primary focus will be on editing tax parcels, the techniques presented are applicable across a wide range of GIS disciplines. Whether you're new to editing in QGIS or transitioning from ArcGIS, you'll gain valuable insights into QGIS’s robust and flexible editing environment.
